Volleyball Recap: Agawam Finds Home Court Redemption Against Westfield + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Agawam, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Westfield Bombers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Agawam had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-9, 25-16, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Hannah Jock and McKenna O'Brien, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Sophia Laprise and her 19 assists. Jock was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got Agawam back to even at 1-1. As for Westfield, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Agawam will face off against West Springfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westfield, they will square off against Minnechaug Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
