Western Boone's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Covenant Christian Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Stars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Western Boone was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-12.

Emily Shepherd paced Western Boone's offense, picking up ten kills. Shepherd got some help from Kenleigh Raby and her 28 assists. Raby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Western Boone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Covenant Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Boone will head out to challenge Greencastle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian, they will face off against Speedway at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
