Baseball Game Preview: Lake Highland Prep Highlanders vs. Titusville Terriers

The Lake Highland Prep Highlanders will face off against the Titusville Terriers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Lake Highland Prep came up short against Bishop Moore and fell 8-3.

Colin Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, while it was Titusville who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Bayside who put up more. Titusville fell just short of Bayside by a score of 6-5.

Titusville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Lynskey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Lynskey posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another was Chase Hill, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lake Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Titusville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake Highland Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Titusville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
