Softball Recap: Bayard Tigers vs. Gering Bulldogs        
        
		
             After flying high against Chase County  on Tuesday, Bayard came back down to earth. The Bayard Tigers came up short against  the Gering Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling  12-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Jenna Flores made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, a  stolen base, and a  double.
 Bayard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Gering, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
 Bayard will play host again  on Thursday to welcome Chadron, where first pitch is scheduled. Bayard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game  this season. As for Gering, they will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Scottsbluff. Gering knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten run or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Scottsbluff likes a good challenge.
