Recap: River Dell Golden Hawks vs. Bergen Tech Knights
The River Dell Golden Hawks lost to the Bergen Tech Knights back in December of 2014, but the River Dell Golden Hawks didn't allow the Bergen Tech Knights the same satisfaction on Thursday. River Dell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 victory over Bergen Tech. Despite the win, that was the fewest points River Dell has scored all year.
It was another big night for Sean Golden, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was David Nunez, who scored 12 points.
River Dell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Bergen Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
River Dell will face off against Dwight-Englewood at TBD on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Dwight-Englewood is ranked 159th, while River Dell is ranked 141st). As for Bergen Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clifton at 4:30 p.m.
