Baseball Recap: Houston Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Houston Academy walked away with it. They skirted past the New Brockton Gamecocks 8-6. The win was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won four contests in a row.

Harrison Milanowski was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Morris, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Houston Academy's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for New Brockton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.

Coming up, Houston Academy will challenge Munford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. New Brockton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
