Mulvane suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after topping Winfield. The Wildcats had been ranked 14th, but fell to 36.

McPherson extended the longest winning streak in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III this week by beating Smoky Valley, 42-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bullpups.

Kyler Kinnamon and Austin Obannon gave McPherson a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Kinnamon threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns, while Obannon ran for 150 yards. Dalton Clark also contributed to the rushing game with 40 yards on the ground.

Ty Redington provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mulvane defeated the Vikings. He completed 11 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 21 yards. Redington's favorite target this week was Alex Evans, who caught six passes for 143 yards.

David Fennewald's team's Redington and Evans have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Redington has thrown for 1554 yards this season, while Evans, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 54 catches for 970 yards. Obannon from Tom Young's team leads the league in rushing with 716 yards.

The Wildcats' Evans is only 30 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Wellington.

The Bullpups took down the Vikings 42-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kinnamon in the win.
