Baseball Game Preview: North Duplin Rebels vs. North Lenoir Hawks

The North Duplin Rebels will head out to square off against the North Lenoir Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither North Duplin nor North Lenoir posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

North Duplin came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-2 to South Lenoir. The Rebels have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Noah Price was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rosewood hit North Lenoir with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-2. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
