Soccer Recap: Bloom Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Bloom was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the St. Laurence Vikings. While losing is never fun, Bloom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while St. Laurence are ranked 15th).

Bloom's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Laurence, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-4 record this season.

Bloom wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 16th. As for St. Laurence, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Oak Lawn on the 16th.
