Recap: Gulf Buccaneers vs. Robinson Knights
The Gulf Buccaneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 60-27 loss at the hands of Robinson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Gulf has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Gulf's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariana Rodriguez, who scored five points along with 16 rebounds and two steals, and Tajinae Bonney who scored five points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Gulf has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Gulf and Dunedin will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Robinson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sumner at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
