They beat the Sheehan Titans on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. Considering Woodland Regional has won 19 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella VanAlstyne was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). VanAlstyne has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. VanAlstyne was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
