Basketball Game Preview: Nerinx Hall Markers vs. Webster Groves Statesmen

The Nerinx Hall Markers will face off against the Webster Groves Statesmen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nerinx Hall will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Nerinx Hall will head into Wednesday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 25) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 victory over Visitation Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Markers have posted since December 27, 2023.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Webster Groves' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 54-40 fall against Olathe North.

Nerinx Hall's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Webster Groves, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Nerinx Hall ended up a good deal behind Webster Groves in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 66-47. Can Nerinx Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
