Football Recap: Colten Rosson and Cade Capp Secure Win for Ozark

Ozark hadn't done well against Booneville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hillbillies came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 34-27. This was payback for the Hillbillies, who suffered a 31-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

A big part of Ozark's win came down to the chemistry between Cade Capp and his top target Colten Rosson. Capp rushed for 57 yards and one TD while Rosson picked up 38 receiving yards and one touchdown. Rosson was even better on defense, forcing one fumble and making five total tackles.

Ozark was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 366 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Ozark has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.0 points this season. As for Booneville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
