Volleyball Recap: Timpview Comes Up Short

Timpview lost against Maple Mountain back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Timpview had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20.

Timpview's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Maple Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Timpview is set to face off against their familiar foe Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maple Mountain will take on rival Payson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
