            Softball Recap: Trinity Blazers vs. Westmont Sentinels        
        
		
        
        
            Trinity came into Thursday's   match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Westmont Sentinels  a   10-0 shutout  on Thursday. The Blazers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
 Quinley Costello was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Aly Lopez also deserves some recognition as  she  launched her first  home run of the season.
 Trinity  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  contests.
Trinity's record now sits at 2-15. As for Westmont,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at five games  and leaves them with a 10-6 record.
 Looking ahead, Trinity will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Park  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Westmont, they will square off against Christ the King at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
