Softball Game Preview: Dos Palos Broncos vs. Madera South Stallions

The Dos Palos Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Madera South Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dos Palos has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Dos Palos is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since March 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 18-7 to Chowchilla. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Tribe recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jayla Bland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madera South). They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over Mendota on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

Anilee Larios was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Solis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Madera South's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Dos Palos, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Dos Palos took their win against Madera South in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 14-2. Will Dos Palos repeat their success, or does Madera South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
