Softball Recap: Clinton-Massie Comes Up Short

Clinton-Massie and Carlisle squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Clinton-Massie had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Indians. Considering the last time the Falcons couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Clinton-Massie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalli Jodrey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Clinton-Massie has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Carlisle, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

Clinton-Massie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carlisle, they will face off against Kenton Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.3, the Cougars 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
