Soccer Game Preview: Spaulding vs. Stowe

The Spaulding Crimson Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Stowe Raiders at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Spaulding is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Thursday, they were much more limited against Lamoille on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. Spaulding have struggled against Lamoille recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Stowe entered their tilt with Green Mountain Valley School on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let Green Mountain Valley School get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Stowe's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Spaulding, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Spaulding suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Stowe in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
