Basketball Recap: Shorecrest Prep Comes Up Short at Home Against St. Petersburg Catholic + How To Watch

Shorecrest Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 56-38 bruising from the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons on Friday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

St. Petersburg Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Boyle out in front who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was David Reilly, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 19 boards.

St. Petersburg Catholic's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Shorecrest Prep and St. Petersburg Catholic will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Chargers see the court they'll take on Bayshore Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, their break will end when they face Lakeside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
