Volleyball Recap: Riverton Parke Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Riverton Parke had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Southmont Mounties as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Riverton Parke won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 26-24.

Cora Batty was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had nine digs and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 14 contests.

Batty wasn't the only good servers: Riverton Parke was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matches.

Riverton Parke's record is now 24-5. As for Southmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Riverton Parke and Attica will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southmont, they will face off against Parke Heritage at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
