Softball Recap: Everett Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Everett waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the McConnellsburg Spartans by a score of 15-11. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Everett's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for McConnellsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Everett will take on Southern Huntingdon County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McConnellsburg, they will challenge Claysburg-Kimmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
