Basketball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Ethel Tigers

The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints will take on the Ethel Tigers in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ethel took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Andrew's Episcopal, who comes in off a win.

St. Andrew's Episcopal is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Enterprise: they outscored them in every quarter. The Saints came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 42-29 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ethel duked it out with J.Z. George on Thursday. The Tigers received a blow as they fell 48-34 to the Jaguars.

Ethel's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

St. Andrew's Episcopal came up short against Ethel in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 47-41. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
