Basketball Recap: New Life Academy Gets the Win

New Life Academy won against Cristo Rey Jesuit last Monday with 95 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The New Life Academy Eagles pulled ahead with a 95-94 photo finish over Heritage Christian. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Heritage Christian are ranked 108th).

The win made it two in a row for New Life Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 95.0 points over those games. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

New Life Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-70 loss against Nova Classical Academy/Fit Academy Charter on the 7th. As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Christ's Household of Faith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
