Baseball Recap: Lyons' Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lyons and Chicago Mt. Carmel squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lyons had to settle for second. They lost 10-2 to the Caravan. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lyons saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Fitzgerald, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lyons' loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-11-1. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they have already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Nazareth Academy on the 4th.
