League recap: Trinity Christian Academy climbs in state rankings with win

Trinity Christian Academy moved up to 245 from 284 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 3. The Eagles were able to make move up by topping Florida Air Academy 23-7.

St. Edward's was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Pirates beat St. John Lutheran 39-0 earlier in the week.

Father Lopez's Joe Boden and Isadore Wood have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Boden has thrown for 710 yards this season, while Wood has 13 catches for 204 yards. Quandre Woods from the Saints leads the league in rushing with 763 yards.

A big matchup in 2A District 3 this week will be when St. John Lutheran takes on Warner Christian. Dennis Meunier's team is currently in fifth, while the Eagles are in first.

Warner Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Calvary Christian, 63-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for Steve Allen's team.
