Basketball Recap: Emmett Huskies vs. Columbia Wildcats
Emmett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 63-45 fall against the Columbia Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-41 back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Hansen, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hansen a new career-high in boards. Easton Lott was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Columbia, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Emmett has already played their next match (against Middleton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Columbia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-37 victory against Nampa on the 14th.
