Westlake put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Rio Mesa Spartans, posting a 49-20 win. The Warriors pushed the score to 49-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

Demanie Bell produced another solid effort rushing for 190 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Ford Green was another key player, throwing for 150 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes.

Westlake's run defense was locked in: Rio Mesa could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Jackson Griffin for the heroic effort on defense: he. Westlake hasn't allowed more than 8.6 yards per carry in three consecutive contests.

Westlake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jake Tweten and Griffin. Griffin also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Westlake's record now sits at 6-0. As for Rio Mesa, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
