Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis de Sales Knights vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

Having just played yesterday, the St. Francis de Sales Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Anthony Wayne Generals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Anthony Wayne is hoping to do what Catholic Central couldn't on Friday: put an end to St. Francis de Sales' winning streak, which now stands at five games. St. Francis de Sales snuck past Catholic Central with a 67-62 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anthony Wayne). They blew past Findlay 73-35 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Generals with their most commanding win of the season.

The win (which was Anthony Wayne's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for St. Francis de Sales, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

St. Francis de Sales came out on top in a nail-biter against Anthony Wayne when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 35-32. Does St. Francis de Sales have another victory up their sleeve, or will Anthony Wayne turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
