Softball Recap: Connell Wins Going Away Against Wahluke

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Connell and Wahluke meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. Connell was the clear victor by a 23-1 margin over Wahluke. The Eagles have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Connell's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wahluke, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Connell Eagles challenge College Place Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. College Place will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Connell surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wahluke, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kiona-Benton at 3:00 p.m. on April 8.
