Brockton can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They fell just short of Barnstable by a score of 10-7. The Boxers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Luke Turco put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 131 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Brockton's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Turco and Jarred Mighty.
Meanwhile, while Franklin put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Wachusett Regional. Franklin blew past Wachusett Regional, posting a 36-0 win on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
