New Franklin waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 47-38 victory over the Westran Hornets. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westran's loss came despite strong showings from Cooper Harvey and Cruze Haynes. Harvey posted 13 points and eight rebounds, while Haynes earned 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Jordan Black also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

New Franklin's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Westran, they moved to 10-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
