Soccer Recap: Highland Prep Comes Up Short

Highland Prep lost against Highland Prep West back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Honey Badgers came up short against the HORNETS, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Highland Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Highland Prep West are ranked second).

Highland Prep is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Highland Prep West, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

Looking ahead, Highland Prep will welcome BASIS Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Prep will be up against BASIS Flagstaff's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.2 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Highland Prep West, they will head out on the road to challenge Red Rock at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
