Basketball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County lost against Henderson County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Union County Braves were dealt a 62-24 loss at the hands of the Henderson County Colonels. The game marked the Braves' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Henderson County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was A'Tylia Green out in front who went 6 for 8 on her way to 14 points and six steals. What's more, Green also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Gibson, who posted 11 points along with six boards and five assists.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Henderson County, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Union County has already played their next contest (against Muhlenberg County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Henderson County has already played their next match, a 55-49 loss against George Rogers Clark on the 25th.
