Softball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 24-0 to the Livonia Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 20-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Livonia, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-20-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will head out to face off against Franklinton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Livonia, they will take on Breaux Bridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
