Given Dixie's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Utah, while West Ranch is ranked 74th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan Roberts was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 assists. He set a new season high mark in rebounds with six. Another player making a difference was Kyle Lemke, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Dixie's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for West Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
Dixie will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against San Ramon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. San Ramon Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
