Basketball Recap: Waubonsie Valley's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

On Saturday, the Waubonsie Valley Warriors strolled past the Mukwonago Indians with points to spare, taking the game 67-53. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Illinois, while the Indians are ranked 72nd in Wisconsin), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Waubonsie Valley's win bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Mukwonago, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Waubonsie Valley will venture away from home to take on DeKalb at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mukwonago, they will welcome Waukesha South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
