Volleyball Recap: Ezekiel Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ezekiel Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the East Central HomeSchool Patriots by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ezekiel Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19.

Jillian Newell paced Ezekiel Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Newell really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mackenzie McIlroy, racking up five apiece.

Ezekiel Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Ezekiel Academy will square off against Eastwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Central HomeSchool, they will face off against Trinity Christian Homeschool at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
