After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fenton, Edison Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Western International Cowboys 3-1. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Edison Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Western International, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-10-2.

Edison Academy and Western International should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Pioneers will challenge Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 227). Meanwhile, Western International (ranked 76th) will meet King (ranked 481st) at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
