Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Skates Past FAITH Homeschool with Ease

Christian Educational Consortium posted their biggest victory since December 14, 2024 on Thursday. They breezed past the FAITH HomeSchool Falcons to the tune of 49-20. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 236th in Kentucky, while the Falcons are ranked 560th in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Christian Educational Consortium to victory were Jenna Wyndham and Sophie Hales. Wyndham went 8-for-20 en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds, while Hales posted 19 points along with five boards and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Wyndham has scored at least a third of Christian Educational Consortium's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ainsley Balzer, who earned five points and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Christian Educational Consortium and bumps their season record up to 8-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for FAITH HomeSchool, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Christian Educational Consortium wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-28 defeat against Indianapolis Northwest W on the 20th. FAITH HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
