Northwest has gone 8-2 against Seckman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will face off against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Northwest managed to keep up with Ladue Horton Watkins until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lions came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Ladue Horton Watkins are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Seckman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Parkway South. That's two games in a row now that Seckman have lost by just one goal.

Northwest now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Seckman, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Northwest came out on top in a nail-biter against Seckman when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
