Volleyball Recap: Greenfield-Central's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Greenfield-Central came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eastern Hancock Royals. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Eastern Hancock scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Demi Muegge, who had 11 digs and one assist. Savvanna Riall also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Greenfield-Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Eastern Hancock, they moved to 11-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Greenfield-Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Eastern Hancock, they will head out on the road to challenge Shenandoah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
