Softball Recap: Piscataway Comes Up Short

Piscataway scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 16-10 to the Rahway Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Piscataway is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Rahway, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Piscataway will be playing in front of their home fans against East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rahway, they are taking a road trip to challenge Roselle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
