Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Victorious

Somerset Academy Losee's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Knights two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Somerset Academy Losee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-20.

Shelby Graham paced Somerset Academy Losee's offense, picking up eight kills. Graham got some help from Ava Jones-Deleon and her 21 assists. Graham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Somerset Academy Losee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.
