Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emporia). They strolled past the Northwest Grizzlies with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 39-25. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8-2. As for Northwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Emporia has already played their next match (against Topeka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northwest will square off against North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest is facing North at the right time seeing as North is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
