Softball Recap: Bauxite Comes Up Short

Bauxite started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Arkadelphia. They fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Badgers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Zoey Hicks and Maddy McClain stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hicks went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while McClain went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that McClain has hit this season.

Bauxite now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Arkadelphia, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Bauxite has already played their next matchup (against Marion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arkadelphia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
