Baseball Game Preview: Oxford Yellow Jackets vs. Glenbrook South Titans

The Oxford Yellow Jackets will take on the Glenbrook South Titans in a tournament on Wednesday. Oxford is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Monday, Oxford beat Lane Tech 8-4.

Rocco Mamiscalco was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Hudson Gilman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook South suffered their closest loss since April 15, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Blackman by a score of 7-5. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.

Glenbrook South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Nottage, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Michael Eschenbach also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Glenbrook South fell to 3-1. As for Oxford, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
