Volleyball Recap: Sanderson's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cardinal Gibbons, Sanderson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Felton Grove Galaxy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Sanderson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Sanderson was led to victory by Mireya Chavez and Emma Webster. Chavez had 34 digs, while Webster had 12 digs. That's the most digs Chavez has posted over her last six matchups. Sydney Worrell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Sanderson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Sanderson's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-12. As for Felton Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Sanderson will host Middle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Felton Grove, they will head out to face off against Riverside-Durham at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
