Triton has gone 9-1 against South Johnston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will look to defend their home pitch against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m.

Triton is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Union Pines on Monday. The Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Johnston). They never let Western Harnett get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for South Johnston as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

South Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1.

Triton skirted past South Johnston 2-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
