Baseball Recap: North Smithfield Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scituate, North Smithfield was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Northmen have posted since May 12th.

Dennis Sullivan was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Samuel Garrepy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

North Smithfield's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

As of now, neither North Smithfield nor the PRIDE have any future games scheduled.
