Volleyball Game Preview: La Joya Coyotes vs. Edinburg North Cougars

La Joya is 0-10 against Edinburg North since August of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Coyotes will host the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

La Joya came up short against Edinburg on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

La Joya took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Edinburg North took on Weslaco on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-16.

La Joya will have to contain Krystah Garcia as she made an impact in Edinburg North's last game. She had 13 digs and two aces. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

La Joya's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Edinburg North, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.
